Inspired by travel, literature and old movies The Small World Orchestra is the studio project of producer Olly Heriz. 

A blend of big brass, fat beats and deep basslines fused with elements of World, Jazz & Dance music with influences including The Penguin Café Orchestra, The Orb, Aphex Twin, Django Reinhardt, Roland Kirk, Gotan Project, Ninja Tunes, Buena Vista Social Club and much much more..

swo spring shadows 

The cinematic & mostly instrumental debut album 'Spring Shadows' came out in 2012 and is available now from WoodenGun Records. It features guest appearances from The Doozer, Jake Manion & Helen Heriz-Smith and is a collection of tunes written over 2 years.

A new e.p.'The Smoke & Mirror Sessions Vol 1' featuring a whole host of guests is coming out in early 2016 and a taster track featuring Lucy Rice on vocals is available to check out here and on soundcloud.

Another recent track is the Small World Orchestra remix of the beautifully haunting tune 'Prisoner' by Brighton based outfit The Self Help Group...their amazing vocals and songwriting given the SWO treatment has had some great reviews and is available to downlad from their soundcloud & bandcamp page.
